Offroad Grit RV’s latest release challenges the limits of the pod camper category.

Small Footprint, Big Ambitions
Pod campers are often praised for their light weight and manoeuvrability, but for travellers looking to go further and stay longer, many of them run out of steam — limited power, limited water, and limited comfort.
The Explorer LST, from Offroad Grit RV, was designed to change that. With extended off-grid capacity, integrated technology, and serious off-road hardware, it’s built to handle anything from a weekend escape to attacking the Simpson, following everything from a stock Toyota Prado to a Silverado 2500.
Off-Grid Without Compromise
At the heart of the LST is a serious electrical and water setup:
600Ah of lithium battery storage
1320W of rooftop solar
3000W inverter
355L fresh water capacity
This combination puts it in a category above most pod campers, enabling long stays in remote areas without the constant need for resupply.
Garmin Control Centre
All major systems are managed via a Garmin touchscreen interface, giving the user complete control and live data from one central point:
Auto-levelling airbag suspension
Lighting control with dimming
Fridge power switching
Water tank monitoring and pump control
Tyre pressure monitoring
Air conditioning temperature settings
Plus so much more!
For travellers moving camp regularly, this level of integration saves time and effort.

Comfort Without Compromise
The Explorer LST backs up its off-road credentials with well-considered comfort features designed to make remote travel enjoyable, not just survivable.
Inside, there’s a queen-size bed for a proper night’s sleep, a microwave for quick meals, and an internal vanity for added convenience.
Outside, an outdoor pantry is paired with an induction cooktop and a sink with hot and cold water — giving you a full camp kitchen under the sky. Shelter is provided by two Bush Company 180-degree awnings, plus a Bush Company Outhouse shower tent for privacy. A portable composting toilet rounds out the amenities, ensuring you’re fully equipped no matter how far off the beaten track you go.
Engineered for the Track
Underneath, the LST rides on Cruisemaster ATX airbag suspension with Unleashed shocks, offering adjustable ride height and excellent off-road articulation.
Recovery capability is bolstered by a Carbon 15K rear winch, while traction comes via 35” Yokohama Geolandar G016 all-terrain tyres mounted on Method 305 HD wheels.
Heavy-duty roof rails come standard, rated to carry a Bush Company rooftop tent for extra sleeping arrangements or even a small tinny, extending its versatility for both touring and adventure pursuits.

Weight and Towing
While the final tare figure will be confirmed closer to production, Offroad Grit RV around 1,800kg tare with a 3,000kg ATM, giving a healthy payload without overburdening the tow vehicle.
Final Word
The Explorer LST brings big-van capability into a compact pod camper footprint, making it a compelling option for travellers who value manoeuvrability but refuse to compromise on independence. With its combination of storage, power, and genuine off-road ability, it sets a high benchmark for the segment.
